Meet “Fred” the Egyptian Goose!

Everyone who knows me will tell you I have a spot in my heart for the “underdog” when it comes to animals. And this little guy is no acception.

We met him at one of the local parks, and I just fell in love with him. He is so unique.

We recently found out he is an Egyptian Goose (but Fred may be a she). Fred hangs with the female geese, and sometimes the ducks.

His size is between the duck and goose.

I am Attending Mr Twenty Twenty’s Scout Camp!

I’ve been asked by several why I am not attending Mr Twenty Twenty’s Way of the Scout Camp.

I do attend, but in a way that you do not physically see me.
I start weeks earlier, preparing.
Preparing the meals menus.
Preparing the “comforts” of home items needed.
Helping to prepare the “lessons”. (I’ve even been doing the “hands on” fire making - video soon! and tracking!)

I am putting all my love and care into this preparation process to make this Way of the Scout Camp experience as wonderful as the transformation you will be seeing in yourself!

And Sunday night of Scout Camp is a very special night for me, as I get to share with all who shares in coming to camp, my gift of a feast.

Sunday night, gearing down, great food (if I do say so myself - better yet, ask the folks who attended prior classes), and fantastic fellowship!

Sometime soon, I will figure out HOW to physically attend Way of the Scout Camp and still get the Sunday night logistics worked out. It’s coming!

Cigar Time!

Recently we attend the Unseminar5 in San Antonio,TX.
One of the biggest highlights is the “after class” activities!
My favorite: the cigar smoking fellowship.

In this photo are two of the many, many who enjoyed the “cigar party”

ps the one in the background is a guest of honor on my Cigar Site

And this one just couldn’t wait to get started!
(Thanks Pat for Unseminar5 & Cigar fun!)

My “Rants” and “Raves” site!

Okay, I have several websites that I haven’t been updating.

This is one: Rants & Raves

Since I found this sign yesterday, I thought this would be a good place to start. Go to Rants & Raves and read about it, and YOU comment!

New Kind of Scavenger Hunting!

Our very first Geocaching find hooked us! And it happened to be almost in our backyard!
The Fill and The Mill

We live very close to East Park, in Connellsville, PA and if you know me, I take tons of photos of the falls at different times of the year.

Imagine the fun when we found there was a Cache hidden close by!!!

My Photo Essays!

I had so much fun (and “peer” views) doing my first “photo essay”, I could not stop with one!

Especially after I visited with a family of Canadian Geese at Twin Lakes Park in Greensburg, PA. There were several babies being taken care of by the Daddys!

Read about them here. Family Outing

Then, our beautiful Day Lilies started blooming.

These grow wild in our area of the country. Beautiful!

This story is the result of their “blessing” us with their beauty!

What a difference a Day makes!

And now my husband calls me “the stalker”! I found this mamma duck and her babies at Twin Lakes Park in Greensburg, Pa (same lake as the Geese).

I’ve been recording there growth since July 11th!

This is the beginning of their adventure! Mom’s work is never done!
